Dear Seth, I very much like you work and approach. I'm not an expert, though I'm very interested in this and related subjects. But....A point I'm unclear on. When one is supposed to forget the sigil , eg: in the act of its destruction, or hiding it , is one also supposed to cease all thoughts of the intent , thereafter ? For example , if one desired a very specific job , then "sigilised" it, once the sigil is destroyed can you not think about , or in any way attempt to intervene in the real world to try to make the intent come to pass? Or is one supposed to put it completely out of the conscious mind and get on with something else? This would seem very counterproductive, and even impossible ! I hopew you can put me right, and keep up this great work.Thank you .
Hello, I am so sorry I have only just seen this message now! With regards to sigils..yes, people who follow that particular ideology around sigils feel that they are best forgotten, however, you will probably be relieved to know that many people take issue with this for a lot of the same reasons you give above. Some prefer to keep the sigil and rather than forget about it, keep it with them on their person or on their altar, somewhere they will see it daily and it is used to reinforce their goal. I could say a lot more about this but I would recommend you take a look at "Sigil Witchery" by Laura Tempest Zakroff for a different approach to sigil work that may make more sense to you (it did for me).
